School House (Boys' House)
The Russells are a quintet: baby Harry arrived on the 6th January 2008 to join Meg, Jamie, and their two daughters Poppy who is sixteen and Rosie who is two. Pidge, their rather excitable and smelly Border terrier, is also very much part of the family.
“School House has always been a house of all-rounders and continues to be so. This is one of the great virtues of the place, with academics, musicians, sportsmen, actors and artists of all abilities living alongside each other. Some boys manage many of these commitments with consummate ease, others perhaps lay claim to one. The House seeks to encourage mutual respect amongst all, regardless of the extent of their talent.” Jamie believes in giving the boys as much of a free rein as possible in organising activities and they invariably come up trumps!

Tom Passes Tough Army Selection Test
Tom Padgett (SH) has recently passed the Army Officer Selection Board. The AOSB is a particularly rigorous series of intellectual and physical tests taken over three days that determine the candidate's leadership potential. For Tom to have passed is a outstanding achievement not least because at 17 Tom was the youngest in his group the majority of whom were undergraduates or graduates up to the age of 28. Tom is now in a position to undertake officer training at The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst prior to joining his regiment. Needless to say the SH boys and staff are absolutely delighted for him. His success was cheered to the rafters!

Robert Taylor (SH 2000 – 2005)
Rob Taylor has recently passed out of CTCRM Lympstone (the training depot of the Royal Marines). Whilst at Malvern Rob was in charge of the RM section of the CCF and he also won a scholarship to the Royal Marines, achieving one of their best passes in some time. From Malvern he went straight to Lympstone finishing eighth in his intake, the average of which was 22 - a terrific achievement. Rob is now serving with 42 Commando in Helmund Province, Afghanistan.
