Promotion for OM Footballers

Captain Nick Cudahy is to be congratulated for recruiting, building and motivating the team over the last three years, which culminated in winning the 1st Division title outright.

Senior pros Anthony Scammell and Will Hoyle, survivors from the last time the club played in the premier division, and regulars like Dom Hutt, Tom James, Ben Rogers and Alex Richardson have been joined by Will Stephenson, Tom Drew and Harry Bailey. Pete Ford has continued to show he is probably the best striker around at this level, and Division 1 defenders will be relieved that Pete will be kicking someone-else’s ankles next year! Nick Wharton has continued to improve at 1st team level, making himself a regular at the back, and Arthur Vaughan has been ever present at left back - even introducing the occasional overlapping foray to his game!
The Richardson brothers have been ever present in the centre of midfield - a left/right footed combination that gives a great balance to the side. Jake Robbins has made several cameos including a man of the match performance against KCS Wimbledon in the promotion decider.

The 2s have had a successful season, winning more than they have lost, and could put on a late promotion challenge. New blood and old blood has been introduced! Lewis Tulley, Viv Kumar, Tim Ward, Geoff Sadler, Tim Bate and Jamie Farrage have all played, and now need to make the jump to become regulars! Jim Mackie at the other end of the scale has re-discovered his love for the game and has been ever present for the team - even finding us a new pitch for when Cobham is not available. George Vaughan has been ever present, playing in virtually every position including goalkeeper! Alex Bastin has been one of the stars of the season, though we are losing him to the bright lights of New York for the next few years. He promises to turn up with Dan Madden for the Christmas fixtures!

Will Hoyle, OMFC Secretary
