| abseiling down the clock tower as part of Charity Week 2002 |
Following on from the success of the College’s charities week in 2002, the school is organising similar events this week. We plan to raise money for charities whilst having a lot of fun along the way.
The Charities we are supporting in our Charities Week this year are :
ARCOS : The Association for Rehabilitation of Communication and Oral Skills. This is a national charity based in Malvern which provides expert, practical help for disabled children and adults, their families and those working with them.
MERCY SHIPS : Following a talk at our Sunday Forum, many of our students were interested and impressed by the work of these hospital ships. Gap Year students have found that working on the ship can be a very valuable way of spending the year.
WORCS. FARMERS’ OVERSEAS ACTION GROUP : The sixth form council have been linked with this charity for a number of years now and are keen to include it in the Charities Week again. This charity supports small-scale agricultural, health and educational projects in Uganda.
