Science Photograph Competition 2008
The Science Department would like to announce a new annual Science Photography Competition.
This competition is open to all pupils in the school. Members of staff are also invited to contribute.
The rules of the competition are very simple:
Pupils are invited to submit photographs that relate to the theme of Science.
Each pupil may submit up to a maximum of three photographs to be sent to CH by email. The photographs must have been taken during 2008.
The name, year and house of the pupil who took it should accompany each photograph entered for the competition.
Each photograph should have a title, a statement of when and where it was taken and a short description explaining how it relates to the theme of Science (max 50 words).
Entries must be submitted by the end of October 2008.
The competition will be judged by the Science teaching staff. If there is disagreement CH will make the final decision. The best entries will be put on display.
Winners will be notified by the end of November 2008. Prizes will be awarded to the winning photographers.
The theme of Science is very broad and can include wildlife, chemicals, materials, electricity, magnets, apparatus, experiments, laboratories, people doing science etc. You are invited to be as serious or as amusing as you like. Please use your imagination and skill to enter some great photographs. Here is a brilliant example.
