Mr Moody cooks supper with the boarders
Thirty very excited junior boarders set off to Cwm Llwch for the weekend with Mr & Mrs Moody, Mr Cross, Mrs Tulley and Mrs Hunter. After numerous 'Are we nearly there yet?'s, the group arrived and unpacked the minibuses which were laden with bags, bedding and lots of food.

Sunday walk
The Headmaster, accompanied by various children, wasted no time in lighting the BBQ and getting supper prepared. The children enjoyed the late afternoon and evening, exploring their surroundings, paddling in the stream and erecting a night shelter for Mr Cross, who had decided to brave the elements! Toasting mashmallows and hot chocolate preceded bed and a midnight feast.
A dawn chorus of children began Sunday at 4.30am and everyone was up and about by 6am. The children and Mr Moody were once again at the BBQ to cook breakfast and Mrs Moody, Mrs Tulley and Mrs Hunter sat down to a well-smoked breakfast at 6.30am. The morning took on a hike up towards the ridge of Pen-y-Fan through the waterfall where pupils could see the monument of Tommy Jones.
Some views expressed by the junior boarders:

Cooling off!

Alex and Matthew get a helping hand from Mr Moody
It was the best weekend ever.
I loved playing in the stream and walking across on the stepping stones.
The hike up the mountains was the best fun.
Cooking with Mr Moody was the best bit.
The midnight feast was cool!
The night time was fun but I was scared there might be spiders.
I really want to go again.
