The Pre-Prep (Hampton House)
Malvern College Pre-Prep School is the Pre-Prep department of Malvern College Preparatory School, situated in a Victorian house (Hampton House) set amid picturesque, safe, secure grounds.  There is a gym, two adventure playgrounds and weekly use of the indoor swimming pool. Within the Pre-Prep we have a self-contained Nursery in large airy rooms, a library and two dining rooms, where the pupils are served a hot nutritious lunch. Our chef caters for any special dietary requirements. Roger Gillard, our former Headmaster, founded the Pre-Prep department in 1984 in House 5 Como Road. This year marks our 20th anniversary, making us the oldest established Prep-Prep in Malvern. Eileen Jauncey was appointed head at that time and remained until her retirement in 1993 when Jill Walters took the helm. In 1992 three well established schools merged - Malvern College (boys 13 –18), Ellerslie (girls 11 – 18) and Hillstone (boys and girls 4 – 13). This created Malvern College, a co-educational establishment offering a complete education from 4 to 18. We therefore packed up and moved site to Hampton House, where we shared facilities with the Sixth Form boys from House 4 and 6 for two years each as the boys houses were being converted to take girls. From 1995 numbers began to rise and space became a premium so with the last intake of Sixth formers into Hampton, the College Council agreed to the expansion of the Pre-Prep into Hampton House offering the present day superb facilities set in beautiful and secure grounds.
