ORDERS

Pupils are continually assessed during the term through class work, including oral work, and through preps. At regular intervals the subject teachers will record these assessments for parents. There are three Orders in each Term.

Grades will also be included on pupils Reports at the end of term which will give a break down of Effort and Attainment statements for each subject. The 1st Order each term will ONLY include an Effort grade. All other orders will include Effort and Attainment.

Towards the end of the Summer Term all pupils in Years 3 to 7 will undertake school examinations.

REPORTS

Reports are sent out at the end of each Term.  The reports are comprehensive and include curriculum statements for the period of the report and Effort and Attainment statements for different aspects of the subject.  There is also a parental feedback form included if parents wish to make a comment on any aspect of the report.

PARENTS' MEETING

In addition to the Staff at Hillstone reporting to you about the progress of your child/children via the regular Pupils Orders and termly Pupil Reports, it is important that you have the opportunity to talk to subject staff at first hand. Obviously if there are any major concerns then Form Teachers can be contacted via the Office and appointments made. However, there is a Parents Meeting for each Form every year and these are held in the Autumn and Lent Terms.
