Dear Parents
As we approach exeat/leave out weekend, I thought I would write to update you on merger news.
Minibus Transport
Thank you very much for your completed questionnaires. We are currently
in the process of deciding how to extend the bus services but we can
assure you that a free shuttle service from Malvern College to The
Downs and back (morning and evening) will operate. Details of the
extended service to hopefully cover areas around Pershore, Ross and
Hereford will be announced as soon as it is approved by the Governing
body.
Scholarships
Our aim is to have details of the 11+ scholarships available to you
before Christmas, pending final ratification by the Governing body on
27th November.
Building Works
Demolition of the gym and staff flats has been completed to programme
and we are well on course for completion of the extension of the
academic quad by Christmas. Please watch the website for artistic

A final public consultation has taken place on proposed alterations to
the Brockhill Road/Old Church Road junction for submission to the
planning authority.
Staffing
We are delighted to announce that the following offers of appointment
have been made. A number of other offers have been made, but for legal,
procedural reasons cannot be announced at this stage. I am aware that
there are a number of rumours circulating both schools about staffing.
These are largely inaccurate. I will, of course, inform you at the
earliest opportunity of our full staff list. If you have any concerns
at all, please do feel free to call either Peter Moody or myself.
