Most successful tennis team to date!

Regular tennis practice throughout these summer days and evenings on the school tennis courts is paying dividends for the senior girls' team. This is possibly the most successful tennis team (eight pairs) we have managed to field to date. They have won all their matches this term, including a recent victory at MSJ (13 - 3) and a convincing win in a triangular match against Wycliffe College Junior and Prior Park.

Mrs Cousins reports:
'The U13 tennis team of 4 pairs went to Wycliffe Prep to play a three way match against Wycliffe and Prior Park on Saturday. With the sun shining, conditions were near perfect and the Malvern girls made a good start with all four pairs winning their first matches. Some wonderful rallies took place, especially between the 1st and 2nd pairs, ending almost without exception in favour of the Malvern girls, reflecting their greater match experience. They built on their positive start and continued to play with confidence and good spirit, the teams on both sides of the net congratulating each other on good shots and commiserating on near misses. In the end, all four of the Malvern pairs won all their matches - a highly successful and enjoyable afternoon. Very well played everyone!'
