Malvern to train Independent Schools' teachers

With over ten years experience of successfully offering the IB course to sixth formers and with currently over 150 IB candidates, Malvern College will be hosting an INSET day for schools who are considering offering, or who have recently started, the IB.
The programme will be held at the College on Wednesday 3rd December. It will run from 10.00 am to approximately 3.45 pm. and will include:
- An introductory presentation by the Headmaster, Hugh Carson
- Talks by the Director of Studies, the Head of the Sixth Form, the IB Co-ordinator, and others, addressing issues such as Timetabling and Staffing, Administrative arrangements, University requirements
- Special requirements such as Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Action, Service
- Sixth form entrants from within and without
- Difficulties likely to be encountered initially
Additionally there will be opportunities to meet various Heads of Departments and current IB students.
